God called you back home.<\/p>\n<p>I just found out, today, that a dear friend from high school passed away several weeks ago, in an accident.<\/p>\n<p>It was just a few days ago that I posted a happy birthday message on her Facebook wall. Today, I get a message from one of her friends, with the bad news.<\/p>\n<p>I couldn&#8217;t believe it.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s been over ten years since I&#8217;ve seen her, but the memories of the good times always brought a smile to my face. I&#8217;ve always thought her spirit was too big for her physical body. Her love for people &#8212; family and friends, and her animals was limitless.<\/p>\n<p>Tonight, I think I&#8217;ll find that box of notes we wrote back and forth to each other in school. Maybe, I&#8217;ll sit and read them. Maybe I&#8217;ll shed a tear or two, or three.<\/p>\n<p>Kaulana, thank you for being my friend. Thank you for always being there when I needed to talk to someone. Thank you for making me laugh, and &#8216;getting&#8217; my sense of humor. Most of all &#8212; thank you for being who you were. I love you. I will miss you. I will never forget you.
